Design

The company has been designing and manufacturing customised high performance sdHVAC systems for over 15 years. A fully engineered system, Invisible.AC innovations are the result of on-going Research & Development at the company’s Cambridge Science Park facility where the latest CAD technology and 3D modelling and other expertise are applied throughout the design process.

The complete air conditioning and heating solution

The Invisible.AC system has been developed to meet the specific requirements of the European market. It is a complete solution that includes designer linear or round high performance room outlets, flexible noise cancelling mini-ducts and a high efficiency jet fan coil with ratings from 1kW for the smallest installation right through to 32kW multiple zone air handlers. To complete the solution, Invisible.AC systems are compatible with the latest smart home and commercial building automation, control and management systems.

Standards

Invisible.AC products are manufactured in the UK to the highest engineering standards, including the use of the best quality and most suitable materials and components. The inherent noise attenuation properties of the flexible ducts means that systems can be specified and designed to meet room noise level requirements as low as NR20 and NC20. Products meet all relevant European and British Standards, as evidenced by the affixed CE and UKCA marks.

Norman Bale

MBA, Founder, Chairman and CEO, Invisible.AC Limited

Invisible.AC Limited. Over 20 years’ experience in Small Duct High Velocity (SDHV) heating, cooling, ventilation and air purification systems.

A professional engineer with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cape Town, he has applied his knowledge in an illustrious career. Norman has particular experience in MBOS, venture capital finance, technology/IP licensing, offshore supply chain management, product design and production engineering. A serial entrepreneur with a proven track record outside the HVAC sector in electronics, the graphic design and the creative industries. Within Invisible.AC he has demonstrated these skills and is recognised as one of today’s most authoritative voices in the global market for SDHV systems and the industry’s future challenges.

Dr Martin Jones

MSc PhD, Technical Partner

His renowned business career before Invisible.AC saw him hold the position of Senior Director at international corporation Smiths Industries plc, management responsibility for Vent-Axia and he was the technical authority for innovative developments for Flex-Tek ducting division. Martin has served as Chairman of the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) Policy Advisory Committee and CBI Member of UKAS. He has wide experience of air movement and acoustical design. With a Master’s and a Doctorate in Applied Acoustics, he has taught noise control and acoustical measurement at university post-graduate level and authored many publications. He plays an essential role in the successful technical application of Invisible.AC technology in all market sectors.

Richard Wigram

M.Des (RCA), Industrial Design Partner

Graduate from The Royal College of Art, he established a consultancy in industrial design with a team of collaborative engineers and designers. His flair for innovation has brought him many accolades in a long career, including a national award for the design of cytocentrifuge, a laboratory device for the centrifuge of blood products and further recognition for a pioneering marine instrument. Richard is instrumental in the research, product design and development of Invisible.AC technology. His work spans the full product development lifecycle, from early concept and airflow strategy through to detailed design, validation and manufacture.
