Complementing the luxury interiors of the Fowey Hall Hotel Case Study, Hotel
Invisible.AC was selected for the project by Ralph Trustees, owners of Luxury Family Hotels. The two organisations had previously worked together on the refurbishment of the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire where Invisible.AC technology was specified for both the main hotel Cedar Suite event space and the subsequent 18th century mansion development. Robert Kenworthy, Group Facilities Director, felt that the experience of Invisible.AC in designing fully customised HVAC systems made them an ideal partner for the Fowey Hall Hotel refurbishment.
A major advantage of the Invisible.AC system is its versatility as a fully integrated air conditioning, heating and ventilation system. At Fowey Hall Hotel it is combined with a Ground Source Heat Pump to provide a complete environmentally friendly solution. The levels of controlled guest comfort, aesthetic qualities and performance of the system were also key considerations. Invisible.AC would complement the understated luxury and modern interiors of the warm and calm environments of the new bedroom suites designed and created by StudioJill, the renowned London based interiors and design studio.
Invisible.AC’s compact Hotel Fan-Coils are central to the installation. Individual units are conveniently installed above en-suite bathrooms and linked via small bore flexible ducting to full width linear room outlets that silently deliver conditioned air jets into the bedroom space. The slimline 25mm linear room outlets have been joined together to provide an inconspicuous room wide system that blends with the carefully crafted interiors.
The system ensures the highest levels of guest comfort in each room. There is no unpleasant air movement, no air stratification and even temperatures are ensured throughout the space. In addition, the combination of fan coils operating at low speeds, flexible noise cancelling ducts and low turbulence room outlets make it the quietest system around with noise levels that can be less than NR20. The tranquillity in the rooms guarantees guests a good night’s sleep.
